Hi! My name is Charelle. I was born on July 3rd, 1991, in The Netherlands, but have been in love with English since my first English class in 5th grade. Helping holistic health & healing entrepreneurs to write powerful website copy is what I do, next to eating vegan food, teaching qigong, playing the piano, meditating, traveling, drinking turmeric lattes, moon gazing, reading, writing, and studying Chinese medicine, herbalism, and nutrition. I’m fascinated with the magic in everyday life and don’t go anywhere without my crystals and tarot deck.
In 2015 I graduated from my Master’s Program in Media Innovation with a dissertation on Brand Storytelling. I’ve been working in advertising for four years, but am currently studying to become a holistic herbalist and nutritionist. My dream is to once heal people the natural way, combining traditional Chinese medicine, Western herbalism, Ayurveda, qigong, meditation, shamanic healing, astrology, and the tarot.
My interest in spirituality and holistic healing resulted from my life with chronic pain and fibromyalgia, which might or might not be (you never know with chronic pain) the result of Lyme disease, eating disorder tendencies, OCD, burn-out, and hypermobility. I rid myself of Lyme disease with bioresonance therapy, recovered from my eating disorder tendencies thanks to This Girl Audra and committing myself to Ayurvedic nutrition (especially by using The Everyday Ayurveda Cookbook as my Bible), my OCD dissolved after a while of cognitive therapy, and my hypermobility is, of course, still here, but better due to a dedicated physical therapist who applies bugnet therapy and coaches me on my path towards living a pain-free life.
Personally I believe that my ill health mainly resulted from burn-out, and that spirituality played the largest part in my recovery. Moreover, I believe that a lot of vague diseases (fibromyalgia and co., but also Lyme disease) are the result of burn-out and a lack of spirituality. I believe that if you’re straying too far from the path you were meant to walk in life, the Universe will come in to put you back on track. My experience is that it does not always do this the easy way, as it is mainly, but not only, through hardship that you’re able to learn, change, grow, and evolve.
My current mantra is: “What you resist persists.” (Carl Jung)
I deeply believe this is true and am continually working on integrating these words, and with that, the chronic pain I’ve been resisting for so long.
